An apple a day is still good sense to keep the doctor away,but a walk a day may reduce the risk of colds by up to 23 percent! As winter temps settle in, many people curl up under a warm blanket. Instead, bundle up against the chill factor and take yourself for a daily walk, or up your cardio time in the gym. Keep it movin' and that cold will have a harder time catching you, according to studies at the University of South California and University of Massachusetts.

To make your walk effective, do it each day as if you were ten minute late to catch a plane taking you on an all-expenses-paid trip to paradise with the love of your life and a pocketful of cash awaiting on the plane for you!
