Mother- in- law's birthday

Last night my sister- in-law called informing us that we'll be having a surprise birthday celebration for my mother-in-law tonight. They secretly made a reservation in a small restaurant near our place. The plan is that all sons, daughters and grandchildren will meet at the restaurant ahead of time so when my mother in law arrives at the place she’ll be surprised seeing us all waiting for her. So I have to finish my job assignments early today so I could go out early as well, we need to stop by at the mall to buy gift for my mother. Hope we could find something that will make her happy.

It’s about three weeks away before Christmas day and I haven’t started shopping for Christmas gifts. Good thing Monday was declared as non-working holiday here in the Philippines I’ll be able to spend the day hunting for Christmas gifts. Speaking of gift for hubby, I also need to find another gift for him because it’s our wedding anniversary next month. The problem with my husband is that, he isn’t expressive of his desires. Driver Solutions

Yesterday one of our Company drivers approached me and asked for help where he could get truck driving training. I asked him why and he told me that to become eligible to legally drive a tractor-trailer he must hold a tractor-trailer driver's license. Right now he's just qualified to drive a four wheel truck so he needs additional training to become eligible for tractor-trailer position.

The story of four wives

Got an interesting email from a friend it's a short story about a rich man and his four wives. It's a good story with message and thoughts for us to ponder so i thought of sharing it with you, here it goes...

There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best.

He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He's very proud of her and always wanted to show her off to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men.

He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the merchant's confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him through difficult times.

Now, the merchant's 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.

One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon. He thought of his luxurious life and told himself, "Now I have 4 wives with me. But when I die, I'll be alone. How lonely I'll be! Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!" replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word. The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the merchant's heart.

The sad merchant then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you so much for all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!" replied the 3rd wife. "Life is so good over here! I'm going to remarry when you die!" The merchant's heart sank and turned cold.

He then asked the 2nd wife, "I always turned to you for help and you've always helped me out. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!" replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only send you to your grave." The answer came like a bolt of thunder and the merchant was devastated.

Then a voice called out : "I'll leave with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the merchant said, "I should have taken much better care of you while I could have!"

Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives. The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll leave us when we die. Our 3rd wife? Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others. The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave. The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material wealth and sensual pleasure. Guess what? It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go. Back to work... and blogging

As usual it's Monday and i'm back to work and of course back to blogging. ^-^ Yesterday was rest day for me and a family day for us so i didn't find time to post anything. We usually visit our parents on Sundays, together with my siblings we stay in their place the whole day it's like a small reunion for us.

So what will be my agenda for this week? Hmm i'm still looking for a nice blog layout. Last week i missed blog hopping and dropping because i was too occupied with layout hunting and template editing. I wish i could finally find a nice template and finish with the editing as soon as possible. I've got a lot of catching up to do, i do want to visit as many blogs as possible there are so many interesting stories from my favorite sites that i already missed.

Motherhood moments

I talked to my friend this morning to congratulate her for her newborn baby, she gave birth to a baby boy a few days ago. She said she’s really happy that God blessed her with a baby boy since she already has a 5 year old girl. We talked a lot about her experiences while giving birth, her joys and pains.

Our conversation reminds me of my own past experiences. Actually I miss the things I used to do, it’s been 8 years since my last pregnancy. I miss nursing a baby, changing clothes, buying cute baby stuffs and disposable diaper. If only we’re financially well off I would want to have another baby. ^_^

I did some tweaking in my blog layout today trying to make my site's page to load faster. I'm sorry that i have to remove some of my widgets. My dream lab bench

I’ve been working for our company for more than a decade now and my work environment hasn’t change over the years. It's Monday and start of another busy week! I don't know what lies ahead of me and my family it could be another "roller coaster" week in our lives. How's your weekend?

After office hours we did went to the mall yesterday, we look around to shop for some items on sale.We we're able to buy shoes for my son, his school shoes had worn out and needed to be replaced. We bought the shoes from OTTO at half the original price that's a lot of savings for us! His black shoes cost $8.48 while the rubber shoes at $8.51 only! My son was very happy 'cause he got two new shoes at the same time.

I was looking for bamboo blinds on sale but unfortunately i didn't find any. We shop around for about an hour but no other items on sale fits our budget so we decided to just have dinner 'cause its' 8 pm already then we go home afterwards. How about you how did you spend you weekend peeps? :)

TGIS

Thank God it's Saturday and most of all thank God it's payday time! Yippee :) To some it's TGIF but for me it's TGIS since i still have work on Saturday. Yes i'm still here in our office working! Grrr anyway it's past 3 pm already a few hours from now i can go out and be with my family and enjoy our weekend together.

So what are our plans for tonight? For sure kukulitin na naman ako ng mga kids ko to treat them and eat pizza at Greenwich. Though i prefer Pizza Hut's pizza, Greenwich is the only one pizza store in our place so no choice ako hehe.. It's one of our bonding moments together that's why kahit magastos kumain sa Mall ok lang just to make my children happy anyway minsan lang naman. And after that we'll just look around and find some items on sale, we are on a very tight budget so i have to be wise in shopping! ^_^ Hope we can really find some good and cheap stuffs we need at home.

For a working mom like me taking vacation is a great way to forget the office pressures and stresses of every day life. The other day I wrote about being on “hot seat” during our office meeting and how I want to forget about what happened. Though I feel better now and that everything is ok I think it’s still a nice idea if I will give myself a break.

Seems to be making some in roads.

Time to let go

We had an office meeting this morning and I was on hot seat! I felt like there's a cold water running down from my head to toe. I was really nervous since yesterday, I know i had shortcomings and the time has come for me to face the consequence..

What happened this morning creeps inside my thoughts and the pain affects my peace.. my joy. I hate myself for my wrong decisions that made me struggle today. Though I feel miserable and defeated, I know what I’m going through is just the work of devil. He makes me feel desperate and weak.

I want to overcome this feeling, Jesus please give me hope and courage! I believe in Your Words and You are my refuge.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27 NIV).

"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me. Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God (Psalm 42:11)."

Worried for hubby

My husband always complained of stomach ache and gas pains. I told him to go to the doctor for a check-up but he insists that he’s ok. Since I can’t convince him I just decided to search in the internet today. Today is a special day

It's my son's birthday today, Marco turns 8 years old. Since it's a special day for my son i will not report for work today. His Dad and I will be busy preparing party food to bring later this afternoon in my son's school. Yes he will celebrate his birthday party in school with his classmates and teachers as his guests since they have classes today. Yesterday we already bought some of the ingredients for spaghetti that i will cook later.

It's up to the Christians

I didn't pay much attention to the coming US Presidential election since i'm not from US, until two days ago after reading some blog posts of Christian bloggers suddenly i became curious most specially concerned about the final result of the election. Though i'm not a US citizen and not directly affected by what's going on in America, I realized as a Christian i still have part in this big event. USA is a powerful country and its influence around the world is a serious matter.

Today while doing my daily rounds of blog hopping, I read a very interesting letter from Pastor Steve Foss. It's about his prophetic warning concerning the coming US election. I know it's only a few hours left before the big event and this blog post may be too late but we should not under estimate the power of prayer. According to the scripture, prayer can move mountains and if we believe in this it's not impossible that through prayers God's wisdom and guidance will be upon his people. With this I encourage all Christians throughout the world to pray for the US presidential election.

I find Pastor Steve Moss' message very important so i thought of sharing an excerpt of his letter:

A Prophetic Warning from Pastor Steve Foss Sat, 25 Oct 2008

I am writing to you today an urgent message concerning the coming American election. God has released me to share with you a powerful prophecy He gave me eight years ago. I have shared this prophecy in a number of public meetings, but I have never published it for all our friends and partners.

In January of 2000 God gave me an incredible insight into what was about to happen in the coming elections in America over the next decade.

I am not using this e-mail to tell you, who are citizens of America, who to vote for. However, you need to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. Never in my 22 years of ministry have I seen such a spirit of delusion released upon our country.

In January of 2000, while the Republican nomination for president was far from being decided, God spoke to me that George W. Bush would be the president of the United States. He told me it would be the hardest fought election in American history. I'm sure we can all remember the incredible battle that took place in Florida. He told me that President Bush would be elected to two terms. He told me that during Bush's term there would be a season of unprecedented economic prosperity.

Now despite what the media has said, the economic wealth created during the last eight years was unprecedented. I know the media and one of the political parties has been trying to paint the last eight years as the worst economic time in American history, but it is absolutely untrue. If you look at the wealth created, there were more millionaires created in the last eight years than any time in history.

Multitudes of people were able to sell real estate before the housing market collapse, and received incredible transfers of wealth. I could spend hours showing documentation of the wealth created, but suffice it to say, the evidence is there.

God then said to me, "At the end of President Bush's second term there would be an economic collapse." As everyone in the world knows, we have just faced the greatest economic threat since 1929 and the Great Depression. I will speak a little more about the present economic situation a

little later in this message.

Every detail that God gave me has come to pass exactly as He said. Now there is one more important thing that God spoke to me. This is the purpose and the reason I am writing this e-mail today. God spoke to me that after George W. Bush, America would elect its most ungodly president ever.

Pop up tv

Our office Christmas party is coming soon and we’re all excited with the raffle prizes our company is giving away for our Christmas raffle. I remember seven years ago I won the grand prize, I got a 21 inch colored TV! Since then I haven’t won another major award, this time I pray I'll get the latest pop up tv. My kids want to have their own TV inside their bedroom so they could still watch their favorite tv program whenever their Dad wants to watch his favorite basketball game. So wish me luck guys.
