Sultan Kosen, the world’s tallest man today

Last time I wrote about the world's tallest woman which is Yao Defen from China. Today I read in the news that Guinness World Records in London presented the new world’s tallest man, he is Sultan Kosen, 26, measuring two meters 46.5 centimeters or 8 feet, 1 inch high. He takes over the title from China's Bao Xishun, who stands “just” 2.36 meters or 7 feet, 8.95 inches). Sultan Kosen also has the world's largest hands and largest feet, measuring 27.5 centimeters (10.8 inches) and 36.5 centimeters (14.4 inches), respectively.

Kosen posed for photographs on the banks of the River Thames in his first ever trip outside his native Turkey.

The same with Yao Defen, Kosen also had tumor in his pituitary gland which caused too much growth hormone. But he finally stopped growing last year after the tumor was successfully removed.
