Double Bass

Playing a musical instrument is great fun, an ideal activity to defeat boredom or cheer you up when you’re feeling down or blue. But there are many instruments to choose. If you want something different from the ordinary, try the double bass. A double bass, also called the string bass, upright bass, bass fiddle, bass violin, doghouse bass, contrabass, bass viol, stand-up bass or bull fiddle, is the largest and lowest-pitched bowed string instrument in the modern symphony orchestra. It is also used in other genres such as jazz, 1950s-style blues and rock and roll, traditional country music, bluegrass, tango and many types of folk music. Double bass is a type of stringed instrument that can be either plucked or bowed, and due to the size it is played standing up or perched on a high stool. You can buy double bass at musicians friend in case you have decided to learn to play this instrument. Here is a picture of double bass.
